Overall responsibility for the planning, management and financial control of the Programme.
This rural development project, financed jointly by the Governments of Finland and Kenya, aimed at improving the standard of living of the rural population in Western Kenya by intensifying dairy farming and improving milk marketing through cooperative societies. The programme approach was participatory, with women as a specific target group. Extension and training were the key strategies in implementation. The programme developed advanced monitoring systems, including participatory monitoring and evaluation. |
